Junior Program Pathway

Help your child grow through every stage of the game. Each program builds upon the last — when they’re ready, they’ll graduate to the next level!

Pathway:

  1. Development → 2. Champions League

Find the Right Program

All players require indoor shoes and a paddle.

Development

(Age 7-12)

The perfect introduction to pickleball! This beginner-friendly program teaches kids the foundations: how to hold the paddle, understand the court, serve, rally, and score. Through games, drills, and group play, kids will gain the confidence and coordination to enjoy their first matches.

What you will learn:

  • Basic rules and scoring

  • Grip, stance, and paddle control

  • Forehand and backhand shots

  • Serve and return techniques

  • Court positioning

Champions League

(Age 13-17)

Our highest-level teen program is for athletes looking to test their skills in competitive play. Players will focus on advanced strategy, match preparation, mental toughness, and tournament-style games. The first 30 minutes will be drill focused and the 1.5 hours will be game play.

What you will learn:

  • Advanced shot selection and tactical play

  • Third shot drops, drives, and net pressure

  • Communication and positioning in doubles

  • Mental preparation and focus

If you’re unsure which program is best for your child based on their age or skill level, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Either by phone (289)-402-3445 or email info@grandviewpickleballclub.ca

For children aged 13–17 who have never played before, they will begin in the Development program for their first session so we can assess their skills. From there, they may either remain in Development or be moved up to the Champions League at the coach’s discretion.

Similarly, for children aged 7–12, those who demonstrate strong experience and skill may be moved up to the Champions League based on the coach’s evaluation.
